 SightMax Server Installation issues with Helm
Solution After installing the SightMax Server on a Windows 2003/2008 with Helm you can't login in the SightMax Admin Console (Incorrect Webservice URL).

Assuming you've followed all the installation instructions and used the IIS Editor, you should be able to browse the SightMaxWebServices\SightMaxWebService.svc from your IIS and browse the test.aspx files successfully.

Open C:\InetPub\wwwroot\SightMax\WebServices\web.config and go to line 23 and removeĀ  aspNetCompatibilityEnabled="true", then save the file and try to login in the Admin Console.

Same goes for the C:\InetPub\wwwroot\SightMax\AgentInterface\web.config, go to line 45 and delete aspNetCompatibilityEnabled="true".

Try to login again in the Admin Console. If you were able to login, create an Account, add a Site, create a Queue and generate a test page. If your Chat button icon doesn't appear then follow the instructions below:

The issue is due to ASP.NET impersonation being enabled in the asp.net root web.config file. Removing the following entry resolved the issue with the SightMax application.
Edit C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\web.config and remove

<identity impersonate="true" userName="" password="" />

When done go to IIS > Application Pools > Recycle the SightMax3 application pool > then check your Chat button icon (refresh the page).

If you need additional assistance, please contact us via chat or phone 918-388-5900 x option 2.
