SightMax 6.0 Troubleshooting - 404 Not found - How to add the SVC extension
Solution After you finished your SightMax Server 6.0 installation process, you try to browse the SightMaxWebservices.svc file in IIS or you try to login in the Admin Console for the first time, and you receive a 404 Not found error message. Please complete the following steps:

Please open IIS > WebService Extensions and check in the list if you have the ASP.NET 2.0 set to Allowed. If it’s not in the list, you will need to re-register it with your IIS.

If it is in the list, then right click on our virtual directory named SightMaxWebservices, then click on Properties>Configuration and look for a “.svc” extension. If you can’t find it in the list, then you can add it:

-click Add, in the Executable box paste this : C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll

-in the Extension box type : .svc

-uncheck “Verify that file exists”

-click Ok

If you completed these steps, then you can go ahead and browse SightMaxWebservices.svc file again. If all is well, then it should look like this:

You can try to login in the Admin Console.

If you still continue to receive errors, please contact us for technical assistance.
